their power level was measured when he was armed with a shotgun, meaning that shotgun probably gives him more pl. if he mastered the concept of ki, then he could possibly blow up the moon.īut if you mean 28 separate farmers use their shotguns to shoot things with, it will accomplish nothing, unless the bullets are mini-Kamehameha's. If 28 farmers with shotgun became 1 guy, and their power level's also combined, then he could theoretically break a boulder with his fists. unless that was one of those fake PL lists? I can't remember for sure.) I know the number 180 for Roshi was listed on one of the magazine/daizenshuu lists that's been floating around, if I'm remembering right. (Heck, could someone with a power level of 140 even blow up the moon in the first place? I thought Roshi's max power Kamehameha was 180, not his standard 139 that he's measured as later on when he's not even in bulked-up mode. but could two PL 70 or so blasts fired at once combine forces to be enough to blow up the moon? Jiece and Burter is any indication) or, at best, barely scrape by a win with both of them half-dead if not worse by the end of it (going by Goku and Piccolo vs. They'd probably still lose badly to a PL 140 guy in a fight (if Goku vs. Now, if there were two super-strong ki-using farmers with power levels of 70 or 80. But just 28 separate farmers couldn't do a thing. If these 28 farmers were able to combine their ki somehow (assuming they knew how to use it in the first place) and pass it on to a single one of those farmers like some kind of Super Farmer God or something, then maybe they'd be able to do something. There's too much of a gap between what a PL 5 character can do and what's required to blow up the moon (or beat a single individual with a PL of 140) for it to be possible. Just like how 28 humans with a power level of 5 could never, ever have any chance of beating somebody with a power level of 140 even if they all ganged up on them at once. They'd cause more damage than if there were just 28 PL 5 humans punching the moon of course, but it'd be minor surface damage at best, nothing threatening to the structure of the moon itself. 28 ki blasts from 28 different humans with a power level of 5 couldn't do crap to the moon. Heck, people have survived multiple gunshots (though usually from something a lot lower-power than a shotgun) and survived, though usually that requires an immediate trip to the hospital for there to be much hope and tends to leave people with limps, paralysis, etc. A shotgun blast would probably register as something like a 6 or 7 (maybe higher, but it'd probably have to be lower than 10 if you're trying to make the guidebook level for start-of-Dragonball Goku actually work) if it were a very small ki blast rather than just a gun going off, going by the fact that ordinary PL 5 humans definitely can die from a single gunshot (and it's a hell of a lot more likely than dying from a single punch from someone else who also isn't superhumanly strong), but it isn't a sure thing that someone who gets shot is going to die. Weapons don't have their own ki, so that 5 power level was the level of the farmer himself. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because.well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power.
